1. A group of Final Year student (Nilesh Irale, Pranav Kolekar, Deepak Jadhav, Vishal Mitkari, Prasad Sanganwar, and Tejas Auti) have done the innovative project on “WASTEWATER TREATMENT BY USING NATURAL FILTERS” and presented in different competitions. The project has own the prizes. In 03 competitions held at following places.

1. First Prize in Water Olympiad Competition at SPPU by Rotary Club & SPPU, Pune
2. Second Prize in State Level Dipex2018 Competition at Sangli by Akhil Bhartiy Vidyarthi Parishad.
3. Selected as in first best 06 projects at Avishkar2018 by SPPU Pune

2. A group of second year student (Onkar Patil, Dheeraj Patil and Sharma ) has presented an innovative idea on “Smart Material for Sustainable Development” and has own the prizes in the completions at two places

1. at AKKAR Competition organized at IIT Bombay and secured 2nd position in Poster Presentation Competition.
2. Received the prize of participation and motivation in the competition “Nirmitee” held by MIT Pune

Both the project has become the topic of discussion among the civil engineering students, engineering colleges and among the Field Civil Engineers. The students have got the offer from the industry to develop this project/s at large scale and help the society from the outcome of this project. Dr W N Deulkar and Dr S B Kharmale, Faculty of Civil Engg, has guided the students for this achievement under the able and dynamic leadership of Dr A S Pant, Principal Government College of Engg and Research, Awasari, Pune.
